Girls' Education Crisis: Fundamental Right As Good as Dead in These 10 Countries

This article focuses on a critical global issue: the significant challenges faced by girls in accessing education. Specifically, we will discuss the 10 countries where these challenges are most pronounced. While education is a fundamental human right, many girls encounter formidable obstacles such as cultural, social and economic barriers that prevent them from accessing learning opportunities.  A UNESCO report released in 2019 highlighted that 132 million girls worldwide are out of school, underscoring a widespread gender gap in education. Among them, child marriage remains prevalent not only in countries like Niger and Chad but globally. This practice forces girls into early marriages, cutting short their educational prospects.
